Notes: SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate), UOS-30S (Disodium Oleoyl Glutamate), CAPB (Cocamidopropyl Betaine), ULS-30S (Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate), UCS-30SG (Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate), APG0814 (Coco Glucoside)

From the data above, we can conclude that Glutamate as surfactant reduces water consumption more significantly than other common surfactants! It reduces water consumption ranging from 17.6% to 33.6% as compared to SLES!

2. Luxurious Foam

Glutamate provide a greater cleansing effect with its luxurious foam!

All testing surfactants: 15% (active content) aqueous solution at pH 6.

From the foaming results above, foams created by ULS-30S and UCS-30S are denser and creamier than foams created by SLES. On the other hand, SLES has large bubble & flashy foam after 15 mins! Eventually, SLES foam dried up when left overnight! (Refer to the image below).

According to the Safety Data, MTT50 for SLG was the highest (904ppm) and have the lowest Skin irritation score (1.3). This indicates that Glutamate surfactant is the mildest and suitable for sensitive skin!

Shower Gel (Partial Replacement of SLES with Eversoft UCS-30S)

Procedure:

1. Mix phase A, heat to 85℃ and ensure that homogenous solution obtained
2. Cool to 45 °C. Add phase B and C and mix homogenously
3. Add phase D. Mix homogenously

Final Product Appearance:

Natural Self-foaming Facial Cleanser (Total replacement of SLES with Eversoft UCS-50SG)

Procedure:

1. Mix all of the materials in Phase A to obtain uniformly mixed solution
2. Add Phase B to adjust pH to 7.5-8.0 with stirring
